Author: kent442 (Non-US) I have a Glacier Bay one piece toilet that constantly requires more than one flush and needs to be "plungered" often. Purchased at Home Depot in Canada. I have seen a pressurized unit in some toilets in the USA probably for this same reason. Can one of these be retrofitted to such a toilet, or do I just have to replace it?

Author: ironranger (MN) You couldn't pay me to put in another Kohler toilet! Had one in my own home for the last two years, it was a very high end Kohler. The kid stopped it up constantly. He did learn how to use a plunger though! (he's in training) hahaha

Author: nhmaster3015 (NH) I put Toto at the top of the list but I the Kohler Wellworth performs well also. I agree about the high end Kohlers. Seems like the trap way is very narrow. I'd like to get Kohler to donate one to the schools so I can cut it in half and have a look see. Btw. the Toto drake will flush a full grown cat. Ask me sometime later

Author: cmjarrell (FL) Okay, now that we've established that this toilet is a piece of junk---and I have learned that by experience (even have TWO of them)--- Can you tell me if there is a way to help the flush performance? Can the insides be changed out? Can another tank top fit the base? I hate to have to pull out the toilets, but guess I will as a last resort!

Author: Anna4201 (CA) Wow. Yeah. Really? All anyone can do is basically say "buy a new one!" Super helpful! Not. Why would you come to a plumbing site if you went expecting SOMEONE to know how to fix it?! Rude. OK anyways.... It sounds like what is happening to you, is the same as what happened to me. What's happening is that the tank is not filling to the right level. After taking the lid off, look On the same component that the dual flush buttons are located. Your going stick your hand behind it and feel for a little button. Once located, press it and then you will be able to move the round plastic cylinder thingy up and down which will adjust your fill level. Once you have it at the desired level then you will need to adjust the ball valve on the front of that same section. You will do this by turning the plastic screw on the top until the item can move freely to be able to hold itself up once the water reaches to that level, there allowing it to stop the water from filling any farther. Then flush the toilet a couple times to make sure it is working correctly. Good luck!!
